The Colorado Belt Disc Golf Championship of 2009 is coming soon! Please contact me for additional info for this weekend long party/camping competition of champions. Watch out for the last years contender "Citrus Man" out of Hollywood California who makes a special trip to Colorado for this annual event. The event is usually held around the last weekend of June during the Widespread Panic weekend at Red Rocks but unfortunately they will not be performing there this year but that won't stop the good times. There will be big partying planned for each night of the weekend. Here's the plan..
THURSDAY - Stop by Johnny's Cigar Bar for a special edition of the online show "Electronic Jam Night" streaming live from the bar. Don't miss all the hilarity and jamming that make this show a "hoot" online and in Second Life.
FRIDAY - 11am will be the first round of the Disc Belt comp at the "Badlands" coarse located behind Water World off of 90th in Arvada. This coarse is known for a lot of sun exposure so bring lots of water and protection. Then later in the evening be sure and don't miss my first house party in years! The "SUPER COLD BEER" house warming party. 795 35th in Boulder. I'll have plenty of room for drinkers to crash or camp so please don't drink and drive from my party. The party starts at 7pm so eat dinner before hand and I'll have plenty of animal friendly snacks. DO NOT BRING FOOD! Just bring your appetite for super cold beer, and a sleeping pad.. I will have a couple cheap wines and domestic lighter beer for lots of drinking in warmer temps with minimal hangovers. If you enjoy micro beer or good wine please bring your own..
SATURDAY - 11am at the "Bird's Nest" coarse located near RT. 93 & 64th in Arvada. This beautiful coarse has long drives so don't throw your arm out at the Bandlands. Immediately following the round we'll be driving to the Gratitude Hill Country Club Annual Bash. This party is known for it's great social community, live performances, disc golf, tiki bar, huge fire pit, massive camping area, and the ultimate horse shoe tournament in Gilpin County. Be sure and check in advance for admittance to this one of a kind private binge fest.
SUNDAY - Final day of the Belt tournament will be held at the Gratitude Hill Country Clubs beautiful disc golf coarse. Short drives and tight trees make this coarse one for the most skilled players. During the afternoon we'll be relaxing and setting up the live stream for JVonD Radio's 2009 Colorado Belt Disc Golf Championship Ceremony. Feel free to join the Billions watching live and on the web.
MONDAY - I'll try and make it to Johnny's for the Virtual Open Mic which is gaining momentum. If you have any singer/songwriter buddies who enjoy performing tell them to come hang out. I'll give them some free recordings..
